Description:

ANSETT - ANA Female Uniforms.

In good condition for age, showing rust stains at zip and behind buttons
Only 1 uniform has buttons.

These uniforms where designed specially to mark the arrival of the first jet aircraft.
It was called "wisp green" in colour and was a terylene / viscose blend.

The buttons were cream and gold and there were three to the waist. The dress also had 4 pintucks at the front.
It was introduced in November 1964 and lasted til September 1969 when the next uniform was introduced.

This uniform was worn with a fur green jacket, brown shoes and the girls carried a chocolate brown beauty case.
Gloves were bone or cream in colour.

My thanks to
Margaret Mcrobbie and Fred Niven for the information.
