British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines (B.C.P.A)

This Certificate was given to a Child Passenger Ms A Kendall, when she crossed the Equator
aboard a British Commonwealth Pacific Airliner (B.C.P.A)
This was awarded aboard the Airliner "Discovery" VH-BPH at 6am on the 2nd day of December 1952.

On the certificate is printed:
"H.M. King Neptune
by the hand of his faithful servant
B. C. P. A.
confers the Freedom of the Royal Demesne (Sky Section) upon Passenger Ms A Kendall.
Know ye all, that the said Passenger, having gaily and gallantly crossed our Equator in a skyship,
now becomes a Freeman of the Air, will all rights, benefits and perquisites pertaining thereto. 
Henceforth, our Freeman may swing upon a star; throw worries to the winds; smile like the sun;
and ... in a phrase ... remain on top of the world.
All ye powers, principalities and dominions subject to his most puissant Majesty, Neptune, take note.
GIVEN AT 6 A.M. on the 2 day of Dec 1952 aboard the R.M. Airliner "DISCOVERY" VH-BPH
by the hand of John Barnes (Captain)."

VH-BPH, was originally ordered by Scandinavian Airlines System,
but it was delivered to British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines as Discovery on September 30, 1948
and registered as VH-BPH. Tasman Empire Airways Limited bought it in May 1954,
named it Arahia, and registered it as ZK-BFC.

This item shows some minor age stain & edge tear or 2 & has been folded but is still in amazing condition for age.
