History:

Air Link was established in 1971 as an aircraft charter operation based in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. In 1989 the Company was acquired by David and Barbara Miller.

Regular regional airline services were commenced in 1991 and the company grew steadily over the years expanding services and the aircraft fleet. Regional airline services now link western New South Wales centres with Dubbo and Sydney as well as Mudgee - Sydney services.

2003 saw the introduction of pressurised turbine aircraft with commencement of Dubbo - Sydney services with a Beech 1900D regional airliner. Air Link conducts charter services Australia - wide and provides aircraft engineering and maintenance services

On 30 November 2005 Regional Express Holdings acquired all the shares in Air Link with David Miller being appointed as the Chief Exectutive Officer. Air link continues to operate as an independent regional airline and air charter company. Air Link flights now carry the ZL (REX) designator and its schedules and fares are held in the Sabre Global Distribution System. At Dubbo airport Air Link Provides Customer Services for all REX flights.
